On May 24, 59 people came to Bethel United Methodist church in sheridan to donate blood. each person came for their own reason. some came to help save a life, others came to help fill their need to volunteer.

Ruby Valley Conservation District is gearing up for warmer weather by kicking off our pollinator initiative for the year. This program was originally started by the Lake County Conservation District located in Ronan, Mont., and has been making its way across the state.

Why do you volunteer?

Tessy Lou Williams first performed at the Pony Bar at age 19 and then she moved to Austin to chase a career in music. Three records and a wealth of touring experience later, she returned to Pony, Montana, and now she even calls the once booming gold-mining destination home.
Women’s softball has been around since 1888. it became a game of fast pitch at the end of the Great Depression. Then professional leagues were created. Women’s softball wasn’t well accepted in the beginning as men were concerned that women’s bodies couldn’t handle the stress of the game. Boy were they wrong.
Meeting with Vern Olson you become acutely aware of the life experience that is sitting before you. At 101 years old the insight and understanding he has to offer is likely limitless. With just an hour to visit, however, you can only skim the surface. What a delightful conversation it was though.
Toni came out in the summer of 1993 to work at the Opera House Theatre. Then came back in 1994. she purchased the store, Rank’s Mercantile, late in 1994. she came from Orcas island in the san Juan islands off of Washington state.
In April, Sheridan’s American Legion Post 89 completed The American Legion Americanism and Government Survey Program at Sheridan’s Middle/High School. After all the surveys were scored, the Post selected the winners in the 8th Grade and High School Seniors categories.
Ennis has found a new, Not So Average Joe. The new owner of Dickinson Tire Shop, formerly D&D Tire, Gus Dickinson, is said to be a man of his word. His work ethic is to be commended. His respect to his community and family is above reproach.
