Ennis 4th graders discover history with wax museum project

Ennis School held a meeting for those interested in becoming bus drivers on March 27. While the meeting was slim with recruits, transportation supervisor John Lee provided information about school bus routes, trainings and certifications, and potential benefits.
Ennis Town Council held a special meeting March 13 to review the town's updated draft zoning ordinance. If council enacts the draft, following work sessions and public hearings, it would replace the current town zoning ordinance in its entirety. The current Ennis zoning regulations were enacted in 2002.
Twenty-one students from around the county converged at the Madison County Administrative building in Virginia City for the county-wide spelling bee. Sheridan eighth grader Rachel Zielinski repeated as champion during the Feb. 27 competition, correctly spelling “yacht” and “caribou” in the final rounds of play.
ENNIS – According to a press release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 12:44 a.m. on Feb. 19, Madison County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call of a disturbance at the Sportsman’s Lodge in Ennis. Upon arrival, deputies learned that one person had been shot in the altercation.
