Shooting on Hugel Street

At approximately 2 p.m. on Oct. 23, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Dispatch Center received information regarding a gunshot heard in Ennis. The Ennis Police Department (EPD), MCSO and United States Forest Service Law Enforcement with Ennis Ambulance responded to 510 W. Hugel Street.

12 degrees

A high of 12 degrees made for a chilly state cross country meet. On Saturday, Kalispell was snowy and cold, but runners powered through.

“Tough conditions, but Montana-tough runners!” Ennis cross country coach Melinda Legg said.

Ennis Volunteer named to top 100 in the nation, small town category

The Ennis Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Ennis resident Mary Sedwick has been named to the 2020 lists of Top 100 Volunteers in the Nation for towns of less than 5,000 in population. Small Town America Civic Volunteer Award organization is based in Kansas with a goal of spotlighting “small town heroes”.

Mustangs kick the Panthers

The Sheridan Panthers hosted the Ennis Mustangs in a conference game that hasn’t been played for seven years. The game was a must win for both teams to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Mustangs came out hot and scored 26 unanswered points in the first quarter and it looked to be a blowout.

Eagles swoop in on the Mustangs

Manhattan Christian slammed Ennis on the court Sept. 25. Their spikes dove with aggression into the gaps in the Mustangs’ formation. Somewhere in the third set, the Mustangs started filling the gap better. The hard spikes from the Eagles continued to be a struggle, but Ennis had redeeming moments.
