Back on track

Sheridan track and fielders bounced back after a missed year of competition at the Frenchtown track and field meet on April 9. Unlike many early meets, where snow and wind greet competitors, the day of competition was held on a beautiful Montana spring day. It was a warm welcome for the athletes who had an unexpected year off last season.

A win in the wind

Spring is finally in full swing – varsity softball season is officially underway. The Ennis girls’ team took on Anaconda on April 1 in a home game that ended in a ‘W’ for the Lady Mustangs with a score of 4-0.

Off and running

Grab your discus – after missing out last season due to Covid, track and field season is back and underway. To usher in the spring sport, Harrison Track and Field Head Coach Heather Tyler-Hjelle held a throwing clinic on March 20, inviting other districts to join in.

Twin for the WIN

Twin Bridges is no stranger to district fame – with their boys’ most recent win they’ve taken home five straight district titles. But for the past four years, Manhattan Christian and Twin weren’t even in the same district. For the two years prior to Twin’s streak, when Manhattan and Twin shared the district, Manhattan took the title.
