BDNF encourages public to extinguish fires
The Elk Lake fire, on the east side of the north end of Elk Lake, began on Friday around noon. By 3:30 p.m., 300-400 acres had burned.
County approves Moonlight Basin development
Preliminary plans for Moonlight Basin’s latest expansion were approved Oct. 13.
Semi rolls on Ennis Main Street
A tractor/semitrailer rolled onto its side on Main Street in Ennis at approximately 3:45 a.m. Saturday morning coming from the southeast entrance into town. The Madison County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch Center received a call reporting the crash at 4:32 a.m.
Just under 200 quarantined
Montana reported 1,101 new coronavirus cases as of 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the Governor’s Coronavirus Task Force report. Twelve cases new cases were reported in Madison County, bringing active cases to 63.

Telling the lost story of Chief Tendoy
It began with lost history and a mysterious document in the National Archives. This led to a powerpoint presentation created by historian Orlan Svingen. He never foresaw that he would become an executive producer of a film, but he wanted to find the best way to share a story – an important story.
Honorary “E” Fall 2020
