SHERIDAN - Sheridan celebrated its Summer Festival Friday, Aug. 3, through Sunday, Aug. 5, hosted by the Sheridan Volunteer Fire Department.

Friday’s festivities included dinner in the park, a beer garden, a kickball tournament and music from Kneejurk. 

ENNIS - John Way, owner of The Tackle Shop, in downtown Ennis, was cranked up about the upcoming Fly Fishing and Outdoor Festival coming to Ennis Labor Day weekend, August 31 – September 1.

ENNIS - The Mule Deer Foundation’s (MDF) Ghosts of the Madison Chapter held its third annual fundraising banquet at the Ennis Rodeo Grounds Saturday, July 28.

ENNIS—Larry Love’s family moved to Ennis in 1908. His grandfather, W.S. Angle, owned the Angle Forge, which used to be located in the center of “town—” if you could call it town. 

ENNIS—Where are they all coming from?

It’s a common refrain throughout the Madison Valley during the summer: motorists and pedestrians alike wondering who in their right mind would choose to bike over the hills separating Ennis from Virginia City and West Yellowstone, clad in those Lycra get ups no less. 

ENNIS—The biggest block party of the summer lived up to its hype at the “Meet Me in Ennis, Montana” Fourth of July celebrations. Around 10,000 people packed Main Street for Ennis’s 83rd annual parade, and many stayed all day to take in a variety of offerings and soak up some—finally—summer-like weather.

ALDER - Renata and Larry Nichols were joking, laughing, heading down Anderson Lane, towards Ruby Dell Ranch’s 1875-built Larrabeee buggy-horse barn on Saturday evening, June 30.

TWIN BRIDGES – Byron Bayers, 88, sat in the easy chair in his living room on the ranch his parents began, a little flustered by all the preparations that were needed to pull off the 100th anniversary of Bayers Hereford Ranch.
