The Ennis School Board narrowed the district’s search for an architect to design its high school’s expansion down to three firms at their February meeting.

“They’re all doing a great job working toward the same common goal,” Puckett said. “Each one is looking at the health and wellbeing of the students and staff.”
All but one Madison County public school has voted to continue distance learning for the remainder of the school year. Harrison Schools’ scheduled meeting was after publishing deadline, but according to the superintendent, Fred Hofman, it is likely that the Harrison Schools will follow suit.
Madison County schools have been closed for three weeks due to the coronavirus. Gov. Steve Bullock extended the closures to April 24 on Tuesday.
Madison County schools discussed shared issues during the annual countywide school board meeting in Harrison Jan. 29. The meeting led to discussions on solving some of Madison County’s struggles in its school districts.
