ENNIS—The Ennis town commission reviewed a plan for an extensive project at the east end of Ennis’s Main Street at its monthly meeting on Thursday, January 11.
TWIN BRIDGES – Twin Bridges town council unanimously approved a resolution to create a storm water Special Improvement District in the town and proceed with $600,000 plans for collecting and moving storm water from city streets at their January 8 meeting.
MADISON COUNTY—In 2018, four fatal avalanches were reported to the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center (GNFAC). Overseen by the U.S. Forest Service, the GNFAC covers the Bridger, Madison and Gallatin mountain ranges—from Bozeman to West Yellowstone, Big Sky to Island Park, Idaho.

MADISON COUNTY—On Tuesday, December 4, Stanley Gordon Bernardini appeared in Gallatin County District Court and pleaded not guilty to three criminal counts, one of which may connect him to the disappearance of Michelle Marie Sorrows, a 37-year-old Ennis woman, earlier this year.
MADISON COUNTY – Last flu season, 80,000 people in the U.S. died from the flu or from complications once they’d contracted it. So far this year, five people have already died from the flu, including one in Montana: a six-year-old girl in Missoula County.
