Virginia City is in the process of the required review and update to its existing Source Water Protection Plan (SWPP). An SWPP investigates the quantity and quality of municipal water supplies, and helps guide management and planning efforts for a municipality to ensure adequate, potable water for its residents and visitors.

Community members filled the Ennis Town Hall on May 13 for the Ennis Town Council meeting. At hand was the contentious decision regarding the approval of a Conditional Use Application which would allow for six three-story, four-unit condos to be built in the North Forty Subdivision in Ennis.
On May 10, the Sheridan Town Council unanimously voted to approve both the Town’s Capital Improvement Plan and the Growth Policy.
The Madison County Planning Board voted unanimously to recommend the proposed growth policy and its implementation to the Town of Sheridan, with the addition of a few staff corrections.
Preliminary plans for Moonlight Basin’s latest expansion were approved Oct. 13.
The Lee’s Pool Subdivision Public Hearing was originally scheduled Jan 29. The applicant, Moonlight Basin, requested to postpone this hearing to address topics in the staff report including a Geotech analysis, and resubmitted part eight of the preliminary plat which discussed a request for a stream construction setback reduction.
