VIRGINIA CITY – During its March 1 meeting, Virginia City council approved construction of two street lamps, two bike racks and a flagpole at Thompson-Hickman Madison County Library. Historic Preservation Officer Jim Jarvis presented the library development permit to council for consideration.
BOZEMAN – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ Region 3 Citizens’ Advisory Committee will meet in Bozeman at the regional headquarters (1400 S. 19th Ave.) on Wed., Feb. 28 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Dalton Furie Depaoli failed to appear at the Madison County Courthouse on Feb. 26 for an initial appearance. Depaoli is being charged with one count failure to verify as a violent offender. A court ordered bench warrant was issued.

ENNIS – According to a press release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 12:44 a.m. on Feb. 19, Madison County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call of a disturbance at the Sportsman’s Lodge in Ennis. Upon arrival, deputies learned that one person had been shot in the altercation.
