Election season is upon us. Madison County voters have the opportunity to get to know the local candidates on their ballots on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. The Madisonian and Rotary Club of the Ruby Valley are hosting a moderated candidate forum at the Virginia City Community Center next week.
The November municipal general elections may seem far off, but preparations are underway and the candidates slated for the official ballots have been announced. Here’s a breakdown of which Madison County communities will be included in the Nov. 2 election.

Politics have always interested both of Montana’s 2020 House District 71 candidates. Ken Walsh, the Republican candidate, and Ian Root, the Democratic candidate, are running for an elected office for the first time in the 2020 general election.
