Mustangs volleyball earns two wins as they prepare for the playoffs: Ennis moved their overall record to 8-3 on the season with wins over West Yellowstone and Manhattan
Ennis dodged a bullet with a five set win over upset minded and winless Manhattan to close out another two win week on Oct. 11. On Oct. 9 they swept West Yellowstone at home.
“We have to be better on the defensive side of the ball,” said head coach Sarah Frings after the win against Manhattan. “They played great defense and challenged us with some tight sets that didn't go our way.”
Elsie Chandler and Taya Keller put up 22 and 20 assists respectively. The team had 60 kills in the match led by Isabelle Hawkinson’s 35. Hazalin Maddison tallied nine kills to go with her team leading 16 digs and Brooke Hoyer had six kills and two blocks in the win.
Ennis can secure third place in the standings with a win over Three Forks at home on Oct. 16. They will close out their regular season on the road on Oct. 23 against top ranked Townsend.
Twin Bridges volleyball is second place in Western C Standings
The Twin Bridges Falcons volleyball team swept Whitehall at home to move their reported record to five wins and two losses. They hold a half game lead over Gardiner who is in third place with a 2-2 division record.
The Falcons will sandwich a home match against top ranked Manhattan Christian on Oct. 21 between road matches to White Sulphur Springs and Shields Valley on Oct. 14 and Oct. 25 respectively.
