Team Sportsmanship Award

Stockman Bank and the Montana High School Association have partnered to highlight one team from each classification during the 2024 MHSA Girls State Basketball Tournaments. This award is to highlight and celebrate outstanding Team Sportsmanship throughout the postseason. Criteria to be selected for this award is, but not limited to: treats the opponent with respect, respects all contest officials, has pride in his/her performance, cooperates with the coaches and fellow participants, proudly represents the community, enjoys the activity and promotes enjoyment for others, takes pride in his/her school, exhibits grace in victory & dignity in defeat, and displays positive attitude at all times.

The Ennis Lady Mustangs were awarded the Stockman Bank/MHSA Sportsmanship award for the Class B State Tournament. “This is a huge accomplishment for our program. The criteria for this award include: treating the opponent with respect, respecting all contest officials, having pride in his/her performance, cooperating with coaches and fellow participants, proudly representing the community, enjoying the activity and promoting enjoyment for others, taking pride in his/her school, exhibits grace in victory and dignity in defeat, and displays positive attitude at all times. 

I'm proud of the girls for winning the MHSA/Stockman Bank Sportsmanship award for the Class B girl's state tournament. This is a true testament to the girls and how they play the game. These girls represent our school and community in a positive manner night in and night out. Having others recognize our girls for playing the game the right way is awesome! To say I'm proud of this award is an understatement! The girls truly did earn this award and I'm happy they got the recognition they deserve!” said Head Coach Jordan Overstreet.

“What an honor!”, “These girls deserve it”, and “Starts with the Coach, good job Hannah!” are just a few of the comments Twin Bridges fans posted after the announcement of their award was announced. 

The 2024 Stockman Bank Team Sportsmanship Award for MHSA Girls State Basketball is presented to:

A: Bigfork Valkyries

B: Ennis Mustangs

C: Twin Bridges Falcons
