Panthers lose big in Simms
The Panthers rolled into Simms with high hopes to get their season started with a win in Simms over the Tigers. They were met with serious opposition and the young team from Sheridan just couldn’t get themselves started and made numerous errors on the offensive side of the ball to start the game. The Tigers got up early with a 24-0 lead after the first quarter and continued that lead into the second by scoring 16 more. It wasn’t until the 3rd quarter the panthers found the end zone with a 39 yard completion from Barnosky to Anson to put 6 points on the board. The PAT by Theis failed. The next strike for the Panthers would come midway through the 4th quarter where Barnosky would find Daniel Dietrich for 36 yards followed by a two point try from Barnosky to Miller to put another 8 on the board. The game ended with a score of 54-14. The young Panthers look forward to traveling to Choteau this week to take on the Bulldogs in a Friday night event.
