Twin Bridges pounds their way to a perfect 4-0 record

Sophomore running back Marshaill Wilke caught three touchdown passes and tallied 110 yards of runs after the catch to help lead the Falcons to a 41-34 win on the road against Manhattan Christian. 

Both teams came out of the gates fast and ran the score up to 22-21 in favor of Manhattan Christian at the end of the first quarter. Then the defenses tightened up and the Falcons were able to outscore the Tigers 20-12 over the final three quarters. 

Quarterback Brandt Nelson threw for 227 yards and added 69 rushing yards to his season total. Flint Janzen caught seven balls for 89 yards and led the team with 21 total tackles. Hunter Turk caught all three targets and added 19 yards to the team’s receiving total.  Senior linebacker Matthew Stensrud was part of 15 tackles. 

First place in the division will be on the line as undefeated Drummond-Phillipsburg come to Twin Bridges to face the Falcons on Friday Sept. 25. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. and the winner will be in the driver’s seat to win the conference. 

Sheridan use bye week to bounce back for a 42-6 win

The Sheridan Panthers took their season record to 2-1 by coming back off a bye week and posting a 42-6 win over Harlowton-Ryegate-Judith Gap. The win was earned on the road. 

The Panthers return home this week for a homecoming matchup against Manhattan Christian. The Tigers are on a three game losing streak. Their only win on the season came against Harlowton-Ryegate-Judith Gap on the opening night of the season. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Ennis scores 66 in their road win against Lone Peak

The Ennis Mustangs won their third game in a row in a dominant 66-12 performance on the road against Lone Peak in Big Sky. The Mustangs have outscored their opponents 210-30 in their three game winning streak that followed their season opening loss to defending champions Drummond-Phillipsburg.  

Ennis hosts Lame Deer in Ennis Friday night. Lame Deer has surrendered 76 points in each of their last two losses to Twin Bridges and Park city. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
