Special District Election ballots are out
May 5 Election results will be available online
Voters have received ballots for the May 5 special district elections in the mail. Ballots including school districts, hospital districts and fire districts must be returned by Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
“No polling places will be used. Ballots for this election will be mailed to active voters only on April 16, 2026. If you feel that you are registered to vote and do not receive your ballot, call our office immediately at 406-898-4406. Ballots must be received in this office by 8 p.m. on May 5th, Election Day, in order to be counted. You may drop your ballot off at the Clerk & Recorders Office in the Madison County Annex Office Building, 103 W Wallace St, Virginia City,
MT, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. through Monday, May 4 th , 2026, and then again on election day Tuesday, May 5 th from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. If you are mailing your ballot, please allow plenty of time for it to arrive here. If you have any questions, please contact us at the number above,” read a legal notice from the Madison County Clerk and Recorders Office.
