Madison County Sheriff’s Office agreement with the Town of Ennis for Law Enforcement services approved by county commissioners
On Oct. 21 the Madison County Board of Commissioners voted 3-0 to approve the memorandum of understanding between the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and the Town of Ennis for law enforcement services.
The agreement requires the MCSO to provide patrol within the town for roughly 50% of a standard shift and provide general law enforcement services 24 hours a day seven days a week. In exchange the town of Ennis will provide $200,000 of compensation to the MCSO.
The agreement is set to run through Oct. 9, 2026 and will renew automatically with a 5% increase in the fee for services unless it is terminated with 60 days notice by either party.
Twin Bridges agreement for law enforcement services with Madison County Sheriff’s Office approved by county commissioners
The Madison County Board of Commissioners agreed on Oct. 21 to approve a memorandum of understanding between the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and the Town of Twin Bridges for the payment for law enforcement services provided to the town by the MCSO. The payment is mandated by the passage of House Bill 333 during the 2025 state legislative session.
The Town of Twin Bridges will pay the equivalent of 17 mills, $14,689.70 based on 2024-2025 valuations, each year based on the previous year’s mill valuation. In exchange the MCSO will provide general law enforcement services with day and night shift coverage.
A clean version of the document is being provided to the Town of Twin Bridges to be signed.
