On May 10 about 150 community members gathered at the Madison County Fairgrounds Pavillion for their first experience of the facility with a fully functional kitchen and restrooms. The event featured a BBQ dinner from Hell’s Canyon BBQ and showcased the improvements that have been in the works since the creation of the Madison County Fairgrounds Improvement Foundation in 2021.
The project involved moving utility lines under the Jefferson River to connect the facility and was lauded as pivotal in creating a fully functional year-round facility for the county.
