Ennis Town Commission
November 10, 2022
The Ennis Town Commissioners passed two ordinances in their Thursday regular meeting. Ordinance 152, an amendment to Title 10, will allow uniform regulations for industrial users of publicly owned treatment works. Ordinance 153, an amendment to Title 8, outlines camping regulations on public ways and property. The ordinance prohibits camping in Lion’s Field and allows the commissioners to create administrative rules so they can have control of the situation in the future. A third ordinance was postponed until next month.
Discussions included but were not limited to: creating a planning board for Ennis before the growth policy is reviewed in 2024; District Court findings, Governor Gianforte’s housing task force draft recommendations, food truck permits, and getting the market value on land for a new water tank and the school bond being voted down.
The Ennis Town Commissioners also approved ‘claims’ at the end of the meeting.
Ennis will only have one regular town meeting until the end of the year. The two meeting format will return in January, 2023.
