Early morning crash claims life of Sheridan man
Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Montana Highway Patrol, Ruby Valley EMS and the Alder Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a one vehicle rollover on Montana Highway 287, mile marker 25 at approximately 2:41 a.m. April 28, according to Madison County Sheriff Roger Thompson.
“One, 21-year-old male from Sheridan was critically injured and taken to Ruby Valley Hospital,” said Thompson, adding the male was then airlifted to St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula where he later died. The driver was later identified as Jacob Nate.
Thompson reported Nate suffered from severe head trauma and died at St. Patrick’s Hospital around 11:48 a.m.
The crash is currently under investigation by MHP and alcohol is an unknown factor at this point. Thompson said it did appear the Nate was not wearing a seatbelt.
