Klose trial vacated

Bonnie Rae Klose appeared at the Madison County Courthouse for a motions hearing and final pre-trail conference on May 7. Klose is being charged with one count criminal possession of dangerous drugs, methamphetamine and one count criminal possession of drug paraphernalia after a September 2017 incident in Madison County.

A trial was originally set for June 4, but after the May 7 hearing the court agreed to vacate the trial until a later date to give parties more time to gather information. A date has not yet been set. 

Cowee pleads not guilty

Justin James Cowee appeared at the Madison County Courthouse for an initial appearance and arraignment on May 7. Cowee is being charged with one count criminal child endangerment, one count seatbelt violation, one count use of marijuana at a public park or beach, one count operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of marijuana and one count failure to carry proof of insurance. 

Cowee pleaded not guilty to all charges and was released on a previously posted $15,000 bond.
