38% of Madison County residents vaccinated
Madison County COVID & Vaccination Update
As of June 1, Madison County had three active COVID-19 cases, zero hospitalizations and 786 confirmed positive cases since the beginning of the pandemic. Montana reports a 43% rate of residents fully vaccinated, and Madison County sits just below that at 38%. Two thousand nine hundred and seventy-one Madison County residents are fully vaccinated, 3,275 have received their first dose and 7,777 residents are eligible to receive the vaccine.
At Tobacco Root Mountains Care Center (TRMCC) in Sheridan, no residents or staff are infected with the coronavirus. The county prevalence rate is 5.9% and staff are being tested twice weekly, residents as needed.
At Madison Valley Manor (MVM) in Ennis, the conditions are the same as TRMCC. The vaccination rate at MVM is 94% for residents, and fully vaccinated staff do not have to participate in the twice weekly surveillance testing.
