Sheridan Public Library welcomes local photographer
The Madisonian’s own Dan Rose makes local debut
For the first showing of not only 2024 but since the pandemic, Sheridan’s Public Library tapped local resident Dan Rose to display his photography for January. Rose is a familiar face around Sheridan, typically seen behind the wheel of his delivery truck. It is his work behind the camera however that has made his name and passion for Montana’s natural beauty more known.
Rose is a regular contributor to The Madisonian and The Loop magazine. “Photography has always been a hobby of mine,” Rose said, “but living in the Ruby Valley and sharing my pictures with the local newspaper has turned it into a passion I want to share.” The January showing is Rose’s first, making 2024 the beginning of a new chapter. Bill Talbott, Sheridans’ Library Director said “A couple of people recommended Dan [Rose] because they had seen his work in The Madisonian… we’re happy to be doing in person showings again!”
A reception date for Rose is to be determined, but you can see or purchase his prints any time during open library hours. Rose will be donating one half of the proceeds back to the library.
