The Quick Draw competition was the perfect showcase for the reimagined Virginia City Arts Festival
Art lovers got to watch creations come together live and in-person while they helped fund the makers’ space being created in the original Virginia CIty School House
Over the course of three days an estimated 500 people were treated to a very personal connection with the 12 artists that were hand picked to be the face of the fundraising efforts for the maker’s space at the Virginia City Schoolhouse.
Throughout the weekend there were casual conversations, candid moments and plenty of smiles. The featured event, Saturday night’s Quick Draw competition and auction raised about $6,000 for the creation of the artists work space that Shari Jarvis and her team are bringing together.
Jarvis was the lead in what became a community effort to reimagine the Virginia City Arts Show. After a brief hiatus, the return of the show showcased a wide variety of artists who were approachable and welcoming to the community. Every detail was administered with care and attention. From the marketing or Erin Leonard to the decorations of Rebecca Miller, the entire effort reflected the class and grace of Jarvis’s vision.
