Young scientists shine

“I truly had a great experience with my first science fair because of how many people stepped up to help me put it on. Janet Douchnal, Kaye Suzuki, Marc Elser, and Ms. Newman especially took so much of their own time to teach me how to set everything up and keep things running smoothly. They were incredibly helpful and patient with all of my questions. Once the fair was set-up, I loved getting to observe the judging sessions and seeing students really shine discussing what they had learned. The judges were a mix of community members and MSU graduate students, so it was also great to see the different generations of science-minded people spend some time together. Overall, while the science fair is a large undertaking, I came away from the experience feeling supported by the community and am looking forward to next year's fair!” exclaimed Sophie Rogers, science teacher at Ennis Schools.
