BOZEMAN—Compassus, an organization that bought out Rocky Mountain Hospice in Bozeman several years ago, will again be offering its semi-annual grief support group. The group held its first meeting Tuesday, September 18, and will continue weekly through November 13.

VIRGINIA CITY—Madison County Sheriff Roger Thompson was charged with two felonies and one misdemeanor on Wednesday, September 5, by the State of Montana. All three charges are in connection with a drug-related investigation that took place in June of 2017.
VIRGINIA CITY—The Madison County Planning Board continued the process of updating Moonlight Basin’s Overall Development Plan (ODP) at its monthly meeting on Monday, August 27, finally approving a version of the developer’s proposal.
The Moonlight Basin spans around 8,000 acres along the northern flank of Lone Peak near Big Sky.

ENNIS—A fire camp big enough to be another Madison Valley town sprang up in Ennis last week as an incident management team from southern California arrived to begin work on the Monument and Wigwam fires.
