Ennis
Ennis High School is running out of space, Ennis Schools Superintendent Casey Klasna said.
A high of 12 degrees made for a chilly state cross country meet. On Saturday, Kalispell was snowy and cold, but runners powered through.
“Tough conditions, but Montana-tough runners!” Ennis cross country coach Melinda Legg said.
Twin Bridges
Twin Bridges Schools were closed last week after both a student and staff member tested positive with the coronavirus.
The Ennis Mustangs ran the cross-country ski trail in West Yellowstone Saturday, Oct. 3. “It was a gorgeous day with cool temperatures and pace was quick for a high school 5K and a middle school approximately 2.5K,” Coach Melinda Legg said.
Madison County Cross Country traveled to Dillon and Livingston last weekend.
Twin Bridges Cross Country, coached by Hannah Konen, headed to the Dillon Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26. The 5,000-meter men’s race included 75 runners and the 5,000-meter women’s race included 57 runners.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, Ennis Cross Country teams traveled to Three Forks for the Three Forks Invitational.
Sheridan
The Sheridan School Board met for September to discuss the first few weeks of coronavirus changes and the possibility of adding a prekindergarten program to the Sheridan School District.
The Panthers held their own against the Falcons in its second eight-man football game Sept.4. But the Twin Bridges’ team took the win in Sheridan, 38-28.
Sen. Steve Daines and Madison County Commissions discussed the county’s ongoing projects that could use federal support Aug. 27.
