7 of 7 meet canceled

Ennis runners take on 4 mile fun run

The Capital City 7 of 7 meet was canceled on Thursday due to snow on the course. Sheridan and Twin Bridges cross country teams were able to take the weekend off as a result of this cancelation. Both teams will run in Townsend on Saturday.

Ennis cross country runners participated in the Rocktober 4 Mile Fun Run on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Madison Square Athletic Club. A majority of the team along with some family members ran together, including siblings Maida and Finley Knapton. Funds from this event go to sponsor Ennis World Strides, a “once-in-a-lifetime science adventure for 7th and 8th graders.”

Overall, Kyle LaClair and Genesis Boyles took 1st in the 18 and under category with 32 and 35 minute runs, respectively. 8th grader, Wylie Connor, placed between Kyle and Genesis with a time of 34 minutes. Bowen Kelley, 10th grade cross country team member, walked the course in support while nursing some injuries.
