Jack Creek Road Community Meeting Set For Sep. 9 In Ennis

Madison County Commissioners announced in June that road work was being scheduled for the three-mile stretch of Jack Creek Road from the Moonlight Basin private gate to the intersection of Jack Creek Bench Road. The work, according the meeting notice, includes “adjusting the horizontal road alignment to create a buffer from the top of the Jack Creek bank; widening the roadway to County standard width where viable, adjusting the horizontal and vertical grade at seven “blind” corner locations to provide increased sight distance; and improving roadside drainage.”

Since the project’s announcement trees along the narrow roadway have been marked for removal, prompting some residents and road users to express concern over the project. Care to chime in? The county is holding a public meeting regarding the Jack Creek Road repairs on Sep. 9, 2021 at 7 p.m. at Fire Station #1 in Ennis
