The big story this week for the entire Big Four: stocks, bonds, currencies and commodities is the news that President Trump plans to place tariffs on steel and aluminum. Two days before the news was announced, the Dow Jones fell more than 400 points. The two days after the news was fully digested, the Dow dropped another 800 points.

The campfire was a welcome sight. We’d ridden most the day. We led the horses to the corral, then tossed in bales of hay.

The corral had seen some better years. We thought it looked worn out. I’ll bet the corral had stories you could ramble on about.

Thoughts on Guns

So runs a line in a movie, the name of which I have long forgotten. If I recall correctly, Richard Widmark is one of the main actors and plays the part of an army (or marine) drill sergeant.

Cowboy Poetry

I woke up with a toothache in the middle of the night. I’d eaten half a chocolate cake, now paying for each bite.

I stumbled to the cabinet to find some quick relief. Dang! Someone stole my medicine! The doggone, stinkin’ thief!
